Use Case: The user intends to buy USDT from a trader for the first time.

Problem: On the cryptocurrency exchange screen, traders' success rates are displayed in very small, low-contrast text in the top-right corner. These success rates are crucial for selecting a trader, but there is no text hint in the interface to clarify what the percentages represent. Low success rates signal untrustworthy or inexperienced sellers, which makes trading with them risky for the user, possibly leading to disputes or financial losses. A crypto-unsavvy user, even if they notice the percentages, won’t be able to understand their meaning without help text — they may confuse them with user ratings or risk levels, which might lead to the incorrect choice of a trader and abovementioned consequences.

Best Practice: On the OKX app, users are also provided with success rate percentages. However, unlike on Huobi, the interface offers help: first, users see a contextual specification ("completion") next to the percentages in the trader list; second, the item is tappable, and tapping it brings up a pop-up hint that explains the meaning of the percentage. By providing these clarifications, users are better equipped to make informed decisions, reducing the risk of selecting unreliable or inexperienced traders.
